Valentine's Day Placemat

This was one of my very first quilting projects - and I didn't have the energy to make any more. I followed this tutorial (for the most part, although my actually quilting was more improvisational), and used red and purple fabric scraps I had lying around to make it festive for Valentine's Day. Ultimately, I ended up using it as a covering for the top of the entry table, where there is a lamp and a pot for keys,
