CUPCake Decoratin'! Week 4 (I missed Week 3... So there's an awkward gap. Just go with it! ;D)

Tonight we did cupcakes! The cupcakes themselves are strawberry flavored - I wish that I had put more strawberries into the batter, though, because they weren't really flavorful. I also over-baked them, so there was a dryness factor, but we shall move past that! ;) We experimented with a lot of flowers today, and I finally learned how to make roses!!! It was ridiculously exciting! My icing was a little thin, though, so the petals on the roses flopped a bit, but eh, it makes them... more whimsical. :)

My very first rose!!!!!!!!!!! Wooooo hoooo!!!!

I when I was baking the cupcakes, I realized that I didn't have any cupcake liners, so I heavily doused the pans in non-stick cooking spray. Unfortunately, getting them out of the pan was a bit of a struggle, so hence the white marks on the sides where I hoisted them out using a creative two-fork lifting motion! I'm really excited for next week, because then I'll be able to use my pirate ship pan!!! IT IS GONNA BE SO BALLER!!!!
