Ok, now for the more technical stuff. I used interfacing to stiffen the purple fabric base, because I knew I'd be sewing a lot on it. Originally, I was then going to use some fusible webbing to stick the body shapes on there, but I couldn't find it (I KNOW IT IS IN MY ROOM SOMEWHERE...), so to limit the fraying issue, I interfaced the triangles and circle too. Then I sewed it on my machine, and did the hair that way too, using 3 different colors. (Gotta attempt realism. Luckily I have more hair than that, because fo realz, life would be awkward if i just had those random bits twirlin' off the scalp.) I did the same for the mouth, and then I hand-stitched the eyelashes and whipped on the buttons. |
