Oh, Roy Lichtenstein! You devil you...
Well. Oh. Dear. For my photography class, I need to do an interpretation of a famous painting, and after clicking around online in search of one, and getting thoroughly fed up with Picasso, Monet, and random biblical interpretations, I decided to attempt some pop art. This was one of the pictures I took with my digital camera, to kind of set things up before I busted out the black and white film. I took the rest of the photos with 400 speed, but I wish I had used 100 ISO, because it would have made the pictures grainy, like in the edited one above, and thus more like the original. As I look at it now, I wish I had figured things out better before using up a roll of film and spending so much time on it all. The speech bubble should have been smaller, and there should have been infinitely more shoulder filling up the space. My friend posed for me, crazy make up and all, so I was super appreciative, and in the film shots hopefully there will be something with better eyes and head movement. Alas, I won't figure that out until I finally develop everything in a couple of weeks.
