Harkening Back to the Days of Yore...

I'm feeling a wave of nostalgia washing over me. From middle school, nonetheless, which was generally a time of hell, boredom, and suffering. Hehe, remember all of those safety pin crafts that randomly cropped up around 7th grade? I don't know why the safety pin was regarded as such an exciting medium then, I guess there was some thrilling element of danger... safe danger. BUT, this evening I had a rather entertaining time attempting to get all of those wee baby seed beads onto a clippable pin. I mean, really. It was an exercise in patience - especially when the beads would be contrary and just fling themselves off the metal spike to places unknown. I'm sure I'll be vacuuming miniature specks of silver out of my carpet until the next millennium. Something in which to look forward.

I made an itty bitty bear!!! Can you see it? It has blue eyes, a purple nose, and a red mouth, but I think they all faded in the glory of the camera flash. I had to color those beads in, because my seed bead collection is rather limited. I was surprised to even find some black beads, to be perfectly honest. But, it has inspired me! Maybe I'll find some way to use the tiny beads again tomorrow... ;D
